For remote villages in Zimbabwe, lighting is vital. Often paraffin is used as fuel for lamps, but this is expensive and unsafe. A great solution for many families is a solar kit: a package containing a solar panel, a battery, lights and other necessities. A kit allows villagers to charge mobile phones and to light up the village at night. This keeps wild animals at bay, so they no longer pose a threat.
A kit costs €100. Will you help bring light and safety to Zimbabwe? Of course, you can also donate
directly via the donation page.
On 6 January 2025, Mr. Patrick Scherpenkate (Albert Heijn) was able to hand over the money to Albert Nijland (of Mpilo Foundation).
The total amount of the deposit voucher campaign is €244.15.
The proceeds will be used to purchase solar kits.
